About Me

Education

Educational History:

I graduated from Douglass High School in 1978.

I graduated from Wichita State in 1984.

I then graduated from Wichita State in 1986.

Degrees and Certifications:

My degrees include BA's in International Studies and Business Administration as well Education.

I am certified to teach all Social Studies courses from 7-12.  I am also certified to teach German 5-12.

Current Position:

I began teaching in Douglass in 1994.  I have previously taught at both here at both the middle and high schools.  I currently teach 8th grade American History, Kansas History, Sports History and Current Events.

Previous Position:

I previously taught at Central of Burden1986-1993.  I have also coached various sports and activities since 1984 including wrestling, football, track and field, cross country and scholars bowl.

Family Information:

I am married.  I have six adult children who attended Douglass Schools.  I currently have grandchildren who attend Douglass schools as well as other area schools.. I have one dog and two cats.

Personal Information:

When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with family especially my grandchildren.  I also keep busy attending their various activities.  I enjoy listening to the radio for both music and information. Finally, I generally take a trip once a year.
