My name is Brian Gee and, I am the new Assistant Principal/Activities Director at Douglass High School. I am truly blessed and honored to have the opportunity to work in a district such as Douglass. The activities program at Douglass High School is an important part of the total educational process for our students. An effective activities program can only be accomplished if the staff, coaches, sponsors, parents and the community members look out for what is “best for kids”. The activities program is another avenue for us all to teach and model character, integrity, responsibility, leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork for our young people.
Douglass High School’s accomplishments and the development of our students is largely due to the time and hard work the staff, coaches, sponsors, parents and community members give on a daily basis. I can not thank you enough for your positive support. I want to continue to stress that it takes everyone working together, as a team, to accomplish the goal of educating our young people to be productive citizens.
I am looking forward to a GREAT year and let’s continue to build BULLDOG PRIDE. I challenge each of you to “paint the town purple” and continue to encourage and support our young people.
