2015-16 Enrollment Schedule

All building enrollments will be at the high school commons.

August 5 - 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

August 5 - 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

August 6 - 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM

All fees for the family may be paid by one check. After enrollment fees must be paid per building and meal paments must be seperate.

Child Nutrition Benefits Application will be mailed on July 15.

Student Enrollment Packets will be mailed on July 20.

Enrollment Forms will be available online beginning July 20.

 

District Counselors Receive the Spotlight Award in Topeka

 

Dana Houser, high school counselor, Brittni Sills, elementary social worker, and Sydney Zaldivar, middle school counselor, received the state’s Spotlight Award for Social Emotional and Character Development in Topeka on Thursday, May 7th. Brad Neuenswander, Interim Commissioner, presented a certificate to the school counselors for their efforts to help design and implement a K-12 Social, Emotional and Character Development program that meets the standards set forth by the state of Kansas.

The Douglass Board of Education met in regular session Monday, May 11, 2015 in the District Administrative Office.

*adopted JBC Enrollment Policy as presented

*approved the amended virtual and vocational education budgets as present

*adopted Resolution No. 2015-12 Authorizing the sale of general obligation refunding bonds, series 2015 of USD 396, Butler County, Kansas (Douglass)

*approved the KASB membership dues and legal assistance fund for the 2015-16 school year.

*approved the elementary summer reading program

*approved the Mid America Orthopedics Athletic Trainer Contract for the 2015-17 school years as presented

*approved the Addendum to Renew Fixed Price Food Service Management Contract for the 2015-16 school year

*offered employment to Christina Dunham – Elementary Teacher, Ashley Durocher – High School Basketball Cheer Coach, Mike Fox – High School Science, Laron Nordstedt-High School Math, Head High School Boys Basketball Coach and Assistant Baseball Coach, Daniel Jantz – High School Social Studies and High School Assistant Boys Basketball Coach, Don Patterson – High School Summers Drivers Education Teacher and transfer from High School Boys Basketball Coach to High School Freshman Girls Basketball Coach
