Lift-A-Thon
To the Lifters:
Ø You are asked to fill in the top of the pledge sheet with the total maximum weigh you hope to accomplish for the bench press, power clean, and squat lift combined.
Ø You are asked to gather pledges from anyone you choose: Parents, guardians, friends, students, neighbors, etc. Pledges are taken on a per pound basis.
Ø The goal is for each player to raise $100. Each player that raises $100 will receive a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. $50 will receive a t-shirt.
Ø The Top money raiser will receive extra gear from Coach Ast.
Ø The Lift-A-Thon beings at 2:30pm Thursday ………….
Ø Maximum totals MUST be verified by on the coaches
Ø All pledges MUST be collected and turned in to Coach Ast no later than ……….
Ø Please have the sponsors make the checks out to Douglass High School.
Ø Encourage your parents and sponsors to come out and watch.

Lift-A-Thon
To the Sponsor:
Ø The lifters of Douglass High School are engaging in a weight lifting fundraiser to help raise money for the Weight Lifting Program.
Ø The lifters will be doing the bench press, power clean and squat lifts. The top of the accompanying pledge sheet has the total weight each person will try to lift for the Lift-A-Thon.
Ø Parents, guardians, friends, students, neighbors, etc. are asked to make a Pledge per Pound for the maximum weight the lifter will lift.
Ø Example: If a lifter is pledged 1 cent per pound and ends up with maximum lift of 450 total pounds, Sponsor will pay $4.50.
Ø The Lift-A-Thon will be in the Douglass High School Gym on Friday……. at Douglass High School.
(We encourage you to come observe the kids lift.)
Ø Pledge sheet will be verified by one of the coaches at the end of the lifting.
Ø All Money must be turned in no later than Friday………
